Hand in hand

This week, I have been asking myself: “Will you do this next season well?” “Will I trust God in the midst of uncertainties & fear?” But mostly: “Lord, what if….?” (Followed by a list of things that I can’t control.)

My family got some sad news recently. My mum isn’t well and is facing some pretty major health concerns. And right now, we don’t have any answers. We are in the “waiting” for results.

But my heart is crying put to God! Will you walk me through this unknown journey? Will you walk with me and hold me by the Hand?

Since I was young, I would ask my parents: “Where are we going?” Or “How much further?” I always wanted to know the details of the plan! And I’m exactly the same now, as an adult; especially with God! 😆

But God doesn’t always tell us what tomorrow will look like! God just asks us to trust Him.

God always never promised that I won’t face anything hard, (John 16:33) but that He will give us peace and that He will never leave us or forsake us. That is the comfort I cling to.

So in each season we face, we have the comfort that we don’t have to do it in our own strength . Even in the turmoil and uncertainties, we can ask God to walk us through each day or each moment .

I pray that even when I’m walking through the darkest valley or the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear. I pray that I will remember that God is with me.

Thank you Father that each day I know that you are with me, like a daddy holding his daughter’s hand. Please help me do this next season well. Let me encourage others who need your comfort and peace. Give me strength when I’m fragile and grace when I feel like I can’t take another step.

Love always Kelly xx
